can i take my itouch to apple if i bought it from best buy?
I bought my itouch 4th generation white 8gb from best buy on tuesday of last week i have been haring that alot of people are taking their cracked itouch into apple and getting a free one.... can i do the same thing two?

They might replace it for you if they find you have a good reason, regardless of where you bought it from. But its not that easy and if your device is jailbroken and/or unlocked it may voice your warranty so I recommend that unjailbreak before taking it in, if it IS jailbroken.
To answer your question, YES apple will gladly help you with your device and they will do everything they can to fix it if it is not obviously your fault, and if they cannot fix it, they will replace it with a new one, but they will not just GIVE you a new one
